What is your role at CDA?

I wear many hats at CDA, helping to keep our work running smoothly both behind the scenes and out in the community. My role includes developing documents, implementing and monitoring internal processes, and keeping our organizational systems up to date. I also build and maintain relationships with CDA’s administrative vendors, manage contract and grant reporting, and provide support across our programs. In addition, I help coordinate signature events such as the CDA Spring Bus Tours and the Annual Conference—creating opportunities for connection, learning, and celebration.

Why do you do this work?

For me, this work is all about community. As a Milwaukee native, it’s incredibly meaningful to serve in the same neighborhoods where I grew up. I love being able to set up our team for success and then watch the magic unfold. Organization and involvement come naturally to me, and this role allows me to channel both in ways that make a real impact.

What drew you to CDA?

My introduction to the housing industry came during graduate school through the Trinity Fellows Program, where I served at the Greater Milwaukee Committee (GMC) as the Resource Development Coordinator for the Anti-Displacement Fund. I soon realized how important housing is in our city. Eager to deepen my knowledge, I attended CDA’s very first annual conference—and was so impressed by the information Teig and Cordella shared. Around the same time, I was preparing to present homeowners’ testimonials at a GMC membership meeting where Teig was also presenting. It was clear right away that our passions were aligned, and that connection ultimately drew me to CDA.

What do you do for fun in Milwaukee?

I like to stay active and involved in the city! You can often find me attending or coordinating community events, playing the drum set, or hitting the court for sand and indoor volleyball.
