Collaboration is a theme in JoAnna Bautch’s career Executive director, Via CDC. The executive director of Via CDC, Bautch works with a variety of partners to address needs related to housing, workforce development and business development. She brings together city staff, philanthropists and contractors, for instance, to facilitate Via’s Turnkey Program, which aims to convert vacant bank- and city-owned properties into move-in ready homes for qualifying households. Meanwhile, Bautch is credited with transitioning Via’s attention to new construction on vacant lots, in collaboration with the Community Development Alliance. (Courtesy of MBJ)

The best community results happen when individual goals align into a shared strategy. We move from strategy to action by building trust with another, balancing diverse interests, and following through on our commitments. We engage our residents, funders, practitioners and future allies through continuous two way communication, equitable representation, and achieving results together.

We are grateful that you are able to share your lived experiences to help shape new systems in affordable housing for Milwaukee residents.
