What is your role at CDA?

In my role at CDA, I lead the project management of new construction initiatives that advance homeownership opportunities across the city. I coordinate Strategy Teams, resident partners, funders, and public officials to ensure strong communication, aligned goals, and successful project delivery. I help secure land, prepare funding and TID applications, navigate approval processes, and manage key legal, financial, and media components of each project. In addition to construction-focused work, I also support organizational and strategic initiatives as assigned, serving as a project manager, facilitator, and point of contact in the Chief Alliance Executive’s absence. Across all responsibilities, I develop tools for accountability, track progress toward goals, and ensure partners stay coordinated and informed.

Why do you do this work?

I do this work because I want everyone in Milwaukee to have the stability in their lives that they need to do well in school, enjoy their families, and work to support themselves. Housing is the foundation of that stability. I know that not everybody had the advantages I had growing up, but I want Milwaukee to be a city where everyone gets to live with dignity and hope.

What drew you to CDA?

CDA’s unique position as a hub for so much work related to housing in Milwaukee drew me to this organization. I’d worked on economic and housing development in Newark, New Jersey and on affordable housing in Southern California, where my wife is from. But it really means a lot to me to finally be doing this work in my hometown. I got real lucky landing at CDA. I get to help build stuff! Stable housing for people who deserve it. We have really engaged residents giving us direction. We’re doing good work. And people around town are noticing.

What do you do for fun in Milwaukee?

I spend as much time as I can with my three active wild beautiful boys (5, 4, and 2) and my wife. We try to get all over town, and we are always on the lookout for a good playground. If you see us around, say hi. My wife or I will probably be chasing down one of our kids.
