Expanding Our Community Engagement

Building Strong Connections

We are thrilled to unveil an enhanced collaboration opportunity through our expanding our engagement, designed to tackle the crucial issue of affordable housing in Milwaukee in more neighborhoods. This opportunity aims to build powerful connections among residents, organizations, and data, ensuring that resident interests are at the front of our efforts.

Purpose of the Opportunity

We invite more Neighborhood/ Resident-Led Groups to collaborate with us. Together, we aim to promote racial equity in housing, ensuring that all Milwaukee residents have access to quality, affordable homes, with a special emphasis on increasing homeownership opportunities for Black and Latino families.

Our Objectives

  • Foster Resident Collaboration: Join forces with Neighborhood/ Resident-Led Groups and CDA to advance affordable housing initiatives and eliminate racial disparities in homeownership.

  • Co-Host Community Meetings: Neighborhood/ Resident-Led Groups will work alongside CDA to facilitate community meetings, aiming for participation from at least 15-25 residents each time.

  • CDA Support: CDA is committed to providing funding for hosting, stipends for resident participants, refreshments for in-person meetings in addition to meeting materials to ensure success.

Flexibility and Collaboration

We recognize the need for flexibility in our partnership and are committed to maintaining open communication regarding any necessary changes.
